International Advisory Board
The role of the International Advisory Board (IAB) is to advise the Executive Director on the overall research strategy for the Institute and to ensure that the research conducted is abreast of the most important and the highest international quality. Membership on the IAB includes prominent industry leaders, academics and representatives from leading global research and policy bodies in the field of sustainable consumption. The IAB is chaired by Sir Terry Leahy, former CEO of Tesco plc.
The main role of the advisory board is to draw together international experts on issues relating to envirnomental sustainability and to ensure that:
- The Institute's work reflects emerging global issues and trends;
- The Institute is networked with top-level international bodies and initiatives;
- The Institute benefits from appropriate strategic national and international partnerships.
It is intended that the International Advisory Board will meet via teleconference once a year to discuss the work of the Sustainable Consumption Institute.
