The Sustainable Consumption Institute held a Public Lecture 'Social Capital and Determinants of Personal Consumption' delivered by Professor Sir Partha Dasgupta on Thursday March 8th 2012 in the Whitworth Hall, The University of Manchester. SCI Public Lecture 2012 is available to view here.
Sir Partha Dasgupta, Professorial Research Fellow at the Sustainable Consumption Institute and the Frank Ramsey Professor of Economics at Cambridge University, was the named recipient of the Zayed Prize for Scientific and technological achievements in the environment. Named by the prize committee as one of the most outstanding environmental economists of his generation, Professor Dasgupta made the link between sustainability and economics long before such work was fashionable.
