Meet the Sustainability Specialists at Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI)
Students from the Sustainable Consumption Institute ran a community engagement activity at the Museum of Science and Industry on Saturday 7 May, to explore how our everyday consumption impacts people and planet, join in activities and learn about sustainability.
Using clothing and textiles as examples, large numbers of family groups and children were encouraged to explore how our everyday consumption impacts people and the planet. The PhD students provided fact sheets and questionnaires about textiles, ran a Recycled Badge Making Workshop, created unique, recycled accessories and gave away prizes at The Green T-Shirt Quiz.
MOSI organisers were very pleased with the success of the event and look forward to bringing back another group of SCI researchers next year.
