Visiting PhD students

Individuals who are registered on a graduate degree at another institution in the UK, EU or overseas are able to visit the Sustainable Consumption Institute for an agreed period of time as part of their programme of study.

Benefits of visiting postgraduate students

Incoming students can:

Benefit from the SCI/Manchester research environment

Enhance their research degree

Build bridges between their home institution and SCI research groups

Be an ambassador for the SCI/Manchester in their home University

Participate in the SCI Doctoral Training Centre activities (see the CDT Student Handbook)

Enquiries from prospective visiting students may go informally to SCI affiliated academics.  Should a supervisor decide to take on a visiting student the candidate will need to apply to the SCI and submit all necessary documents.  Potential students may also contact the SCI directly and we can assist in identifying appropriate supervisors.  Please email the SCI at sue.huzar@manchester.ac.uk.
