Sustainable Production and Distribution Systems

To deliver more sustainable consumption, the provision of goods and services by retailers has a significant role to play in shaping the availability and embedded emissions within the end product. This theme will look closely at how retailers can influence supply chain innovation and good practice in sustainability terms to exert power to induce sustainability from source to product. Research topics will include resource recycling, freight transport modes and operations, innovative environmental technologies and novel procurement strategies.
